Marina Bay
10 Bayfront Avenue
History of the house
Singapore lifted a roughly 40-year ban on gambling in 2005. In December 2004 the government had called for concepts for two integrated resorts; in May 2006 Las Vegas Sands was awarded the Marina Bay site.
Marina Bay Sands was built to plans by Moshe Safdie: three hotel towers with a rooftop garden (SkyPark), a museum, theatres and a convention centre. Operations began in phases on 27 April 2010; the official opening was on 23 June 2010.
